Birthdays and Bedrooms

Did you know that 8 year olds like to say things like "sweet!" and "that's extreme!" Yup, they do! Well, Noah had a pretty 'sweet' 8th birthday party with his two close school buddies, Ross and Michael, and Ezra. They played with cap guns for over an hour, went swimming in the cold 60 degree weather (that's when they called themselves "extreme!,") and roasted marshmallows over the fire pit for s'mores. It was a big kid party, too, because Noah wanted it at nighttime - from 4-8pm. They really had a blast just being kids and playing outdoors.

The boys decided they wanted to wear ear protection for the cap guns.

It was pretty cold!

"Let me show you, Oona." (Poor little sister)

Daddy was painting our bedroom with a friend earlier... more on that below.

Who needs pricey party entertainment when you've got fire!

Here's our almost finished bedroom make over:)

I forgot to take a "before" picture. This was the closest I could find from a few years ago.

And here's one of tired Papa early on Father's Day morning. We sure love you so much, Daddy!
