My baby started Preschool!

Oona started her first day of preschool today! On Tuesday, she really enjoyed the one hour mom and child orientation. Her two teachers are so sweet and nurturing, and the classroom is full of wonderful child centered activities. Today was her first morning alone (8:30-11:30). She went in eager, but when I went to pick her up, I saw through the window that she looked a bit sad. When she saw me, she cried. Her teacher said she did great all day, but just got a bit tired and weepy for me at the very end of the day. She seems to like it a lot (talked about playing with the baby dolls, new friends, drawing), but it will probably take some getting used to- just like all changes and new experiences. As for me... I held it together, went to the gym, missed her a bunch, kept checking the time, but was excited for her too :)

Apple picking

On Labor Day, we picked apples at Russel Orchards in Ipswich. It was a bit early in the season, but we got some delicious McIntosh and Galas which were later turned into a scrumptious apple crisp! After picking, we spent the rest of the day riding the waves at Crane's Beach... soaking up the last of the summer!
