Bagel World
After running errands this morning, and having to forgo a planned trip to the zoo because of the rain, Oona and I ended up at Bagel World for our favorite French toast bagel with "cheem cheese." Although the place isn't much for atmosphere, a mere $5 gets us 2 bagel sandwiches and my yummy vanilla hazelnut coffee- and of course some precious mom and daughter time.

Apple Picking
As the kids are getting older, and the days and weeks seem busier than ever, I appreciate family time so much. Moments away from homework, soccer, work, play dates, errands.... just being together and doing something all five of us enjoy. Today, we spent a wonderful afternoon at Smolak Farms.

Terrific Toddlers
Oona and Giuliana began their Wednesday morning "Terrific Toddler" class. It seems like just yesterday I took Noah to the same class while wearing Ezra in the sling.

Next Time Won't You Sing With Me...
Oona had a language explosion a couple of months ago. It seems like she went from putting two words together to full on sentences in no time! Some funny sentences she says often are, "My touch him?," when she sees an animal nearby (she loves dogs especially) and "Oh, what (h)appened?!" Being the third child, with much older brothers, she uses "Oh, Cool!" as a common reply :) Lately, I've caught her trying to sing her ABC's. Here's a glimpse: (p.s. As you'll see, she doesn't like getting her picture taken anymore!)

Back to School

I am feeling a little emotional, as always, about the start of another school year. Where does the time go!? Noah is entering 4th grade and Ezra 2nd. I really do love having the kids home with me without the worries about drop offs and pick ups, packing lunches, rushing around, and homework! We had a wonderful summer together, spending lots of time down at Nonnie and Papa's pool, an awesome week in Maine with Nana and Da, day trips to beaches and museums, and just hanging out with the neighborhood buddies. Oona is going to miss having them around during the day too. This morning she was calling for them, "Oh-ah?", "Ez-ah?" Well, here's to a great school year! I am proud of you guys already!
