Curse Your Branches

Tim was inspired today to chop down an old apple tree that's been an eye-sore for us since we moved in.  I think all the episode watching of "Ax Men" paid off.  Tim knew just how to cut in first and make the tree fall exactly where he wanted.  Here's a little clip of the action:

Memorial Day Weekend

We spent most  of the weekend down at Nonnie and Papa's house.  I took the boys out of school early to drive down in the 90 degree temps.  The kids were so excited to be the first ones in the pool this season.  

Oona liked the kiddie pool.

She got to ride in my baby carriage that my mom has kept in amazing condition.

Maine

Saturday was lovely and warm (mid 70's), so we decided at the last minute to pile into the van for a much needed family outing.  We drove about 65 miles north to York Beach, Maine... thinking it was the perfect weather for a beach day.  However, when we got there, it was a cold and overcast 50 degrees!  But, the boys didn't mind.  They got right to digging after our lunch in the quaint beach town.  Oona sat for the first time in a restaurant high chair.  That lasted for a little while anyway.  Tim and I are still getting used to eating with one hand again!

Mama-Inspired for Mother's Day

I Heart Friday Afternoons

Friday means no homework and a more relaxed afternoon.   After a slice of Trader Joe's delicious berry crumb pie, the boys headed to the sunny outdoors to wash the van.

Tim called from work and suggested we use the grill tonight... first time this season.  Mmm, burgers.

Later, the boys begged to use the fire pit and invited some neighbors over for s'mores.
A nice start to the weekend :)
